#GetNakedJax is a casual yet impactful annual event in Jacksonville that brings the community together with a shared determination to eradicate melanoma through research. Founded with the goal of funding a research grant each year, the event has achieved remarkable success. In 2024 alone, it raised over $230,000 and funded the Melanoma Research Foundation’s Women in Science Melanoma Research Grant. Since 2021, #GetNakedJax has contributed over $630,000 to life-changing melanoma research.

• Allison Betof Warner, MD, PhD: 2022 Career Development Award - "Pilot Trial of Tumor Infiltrating Lymphocytes for Melanoma Brain Metastasis"

• Lilit Karapetyan, MD: 2023 Career Development Award - "Deciphering the role of APRIL/TNFSF13 in melanoma-associated TLS formation"

• Xiaonan Xu, MD, PhD: 2023 Career Development Award - "Understand metastasis of uveal melanoma in vivo via novel mouse models"

• Pietro Berico, PhD, MS: 2024 Career Development Award - “A gene regulatory network driving melanoma immune evasion”
